A Celebration of Queer Food, Talent & Joy: Everybody Eats Pride Dinners 2025
Our Everybody Eats Pride Dinners have always been special—lively, memorable, and packed with love. For years, our former head chef, Ellis Robbins, infused these events with stories of Queer history, culture, and cuisine. As a proud member of the community, she used food as a storytelling medium, honoring both her journey and the untold stories of others.
This year, with our new chef Alicia leading the charge, we decided to take the celebration in a new direction—turning the spotlight onto local Queer talent. Enter Selina Simone and Ms Leading, two incredible drag performers who brought the house down! With their energy and charisma at center stage, we curated a dining experience that was as fabulous as it was delicious.
We called it Dinner on the Dancefloor—a full-blown disco-themed night where we served up incredible kai, dazzling performances, and a whole lot of joy.
Once plans were in place, we opened bookings—and as expected, both nights sold out fast! With waitlists full of hopeful guests, it was clear that Wellington was ready for a Pride celebration like no other.
Our first dinner, on Thursday, March 13th, landed right in the heart of Wellington Pride Festival. Guests were greeted by the one and only Selina Simone, glammed up and ready to welcome everyone with wit, charm, and just the right amount of sass.
Alicia, alongside her longtime friend Bella, crafted a sensational menu under their catering business, Two Girls, One Taco. The menu was a playful mix of flavor and innuendo, because what’s a Pride dinner without a little cheek?

A menu as fun as the event itself!
As guests settled in, Selina kicked things off with a glamorous welcome, setting the stage for a night of laughter, kai, and killer performances.
Throughout the evening, we kept the energy high with drag performances – Selina left the crowd gagging with her powerhouse performances. Best Dressed Competition – The audience brought their A-game, with the winner walking away with a bag of goodies.
Toasts to Pride – Because celebrating love, identity, and community deserves a proper cheer!
The night ended on the ultimate high: Dancing Queen by ABBA, where guests hit the floor for a final, joy-filled boogie.
We were even joined by Green Party members, including Rainbow Spokesperson Kahurangi Carter, making it a night of celebration and community unity.
One week later, on Thursday, March 20th, we did it all over again, this time with the fabulous Ms Leading at the helm. Looking stunning in glitter and sparkles, she delivered show-stopping performances that had the crowd roaring.
Once again, Two Girls, One Taco impressed with a new menu:

Ms Leading’s performances took the night to another level, with a disco-fueled setlist featuring: Lay All Your Love on Me – ABBA
You’re the First, My Last, My Everything – Barry White
Dancing Queen – ABBA (the perfect encore, of course!)
Each song was separated by other disco tracks, keeping the energy flowing and the guests bopping.
Our 2025 Everybody Eats Pride Dinners were nothing short of spectacular. These events continue to be a testament to what we stand for—celebrating Queer food, talent, and community in a space that welcomes all.
A massive shoutout to Alicia, Bella, Selina Simone, Ms Leading, our incredible volunteers, and every single guest who came along. You made these nights unforgettable.
Here’s to 2026 Pride—we can’t wait to do it all again!
