Food waste is a big issue in Aotearoa. Households throw away over 150,000 tonnes of food every year, and much of it is still perfectly good to eat. That’s the equivalent of hundreds of dollars per household going straight in the bin, along with all the time, energy and resources it took to produce that food.
Save a Bite is about making small, easy changes, like meal planning and storing food well. Together we can make a difference.
Don't forget to ask for a loyalty card when you visit!
